Celeste is a popular southern fig. This is also called sugar fig. The fresh is filled with honey when ripe. Celeste is ripe early in the season. In here, USDA zone 7b, it’s ripe in mid July. Celeste fig is rain resistant and has small eye that keeps the bug out.
